College and University Programs

Goddard College offers a low-residency Transformative Language Arts ("Social and personal transformation through the spoken and written word") concentration within the MA in Individualized Studies Program. The program is directed by Caryn Mirriam-Goldberg, Ph.D., CPT.

University College at the University of Denver offers four core courses and electives in Writing & Healing through its MA in Liberal Studies. Courses are available both on-line and on-campus. Writing & Healing faculty are Joy Sawyer, LPC, PTR-M/S, Kathleen Adams, LPC, PTR-M/S, and Gayle Nosal, MFA, CPT.

College of St. Catherine, St. Paul MN, offers a 2-credit course in poetry therapy every other summer. The course is taught by Geri Chavis, Ph.D., CPT-M/S.
